Bravo probably won’t be airing “Real Housewives of Cotulla” any time soon, but at least one TV producer thinks the Eagle Ford Shale may ripe for its own reality show.
Carrie Stett of Los Angeles-based Fractal Media is interviewing residents of the largely rural South Texas oil-and-gas play for a potential reality show with the working title of “Fracking Millionaires,” according to a report by San Antonio’s 1200 WOAI news.
“The idea is to look for rags-to-riches stories from real people and create a series based on the interesting personalities that we find,” Stett told the radio station.
However, the project is still being pitched to networks and won’t necessarily go into production, Stett said.
WOAI reports Stett has worked with “major” TV networks on reality show projects before, but the story didn’t identify which shows or networks.
